Dragon Ball Super: Orange Piccolo

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a movie in the Dragon Ball franchise that was released in 2022. It features an original story and is set after the events of the Dragon Ball Super anime series. The movie introduces new characters and also brings back some of the classic ones from the original series, such as the Red Ribbon Army, a military organization that previously served as the main antagonist in the early chapters of the Dragon Ball manga.

One of the highlights of the movie is the introduction of new transformations for some of the Z fighters. Gohan, who had been underutilized in previous installments, received a power-up in the form of “Beast Gohan”, which was achieved with the help of his mentor, Piccolo. Piccolo himself also got a new transformation called “Orange Piccolo”, which he used to battle against the resurrected and enhanced version of the villain, Cell, known as “Cell Max”.

Orange Piccolo is a significant upgrade from Piccolo’s previous forms, which had become comparatively weaker as the franchise progressed. In this new form, Piccolo’s body turns bulkier and taller, his pupils become red with black pigments around his eyes, and his skin becomes orange-colored. He gains the ability to extend his body and becomes strong enough to withstand attacks from Gamma 2, a member of the Red Ribbon Army who had earlier bested him in a fight.

Overall, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero was well-received by fans and critics alike for its engaging storyline, captivating animation, and refreshing changes to the characters. It remains to be seen if other non-Saiyan Z fighters will also receive power upgrades in future installments of the franchise.
