Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest – A Worthy Successor?

It shows how much he’s changed from when he was a villain and even elaborates on how he sees himself and processes his guilt from back then. The same can also be said for Laxus, who, while not exactly in the spotlight, still manages to get the spotlight from time to time. Fans get a rare look into how Laxus really feels about himself in comparison to the rest of his guild, expanding his character even further.

Additionally, 100 Years Quest tackles many of the dangling plot points from the original series that were not resolved, handling them expertly. It not only pushes the plot and characters forward but also helps to expand upon the fate of the dragons as well as the lore that surrounds them. Furthermore, it explores the aftermath of the events that occurred in the original series, such as the group traveling back to Edolas, establishing a brand-new realm for them to explore.

Overall, the sequel manages to capture the spirit of the original series while also improving on its weaknesses. With its more focused narrative, interesting quest, and character development, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is better than ever before. Fans can once again enjoy the adventures of Natsu and his friends in a brand new story that is just as captivating as the original.
