Disney has officially given the green light for a revival of Phineas and Ferb

Disney has officially announced a 40-episode revival of the beloved series “Phineas and Ferb” by original creator Dan Povenmire. The exact release date for the Disney series has not been revealed yet, but fans can expect the iconic duo to return with two new seasons.

“Phineas and Ferb” originally aired on Disney Channel for four seasons, consisting of 129 episodes and 222 segments. Created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, the show follows the adventures of stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher, who always find ways to make their summer vacation more exciting. The series gained immense popularity and even had a recent movie release on Disney Plus in 2020.

The revival of “Phineas and Ferb” is part of a new deal with Disney Branded Television, with Dan Povenmire returning to the series to create forty new episodes, split into two seasons. Negotiations are currently underway for Jeff “Swampy” Marsh to join as an executive producer. Ayo Davis, the President of Disney Branded Television, expressed excitement about the collaboration, praising Povenmire’s ability to create universally beloved stories with heart and humor.

Despite ending in 2015, the series continues to have a strong fan base. Fans, who have grown up since the show’s original run, keep the memory of “Phineas and Ferb” alive through countless memes and references.
