Fire Force Season 2 is set to debut on July 3

The official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Atsushi Ohkubo’s manga, Fire Force (En En no Shōbōtai), recently shared an exciting update for fans. A photograph was posted, revealing the highly anticipated premiere date for the anime’s second season, which is set for July 3. The promotional advertisement featuring this announcement has already made its debut on platforms at Tokyo Station and various train stations throughout the Kanto region, creating a buzz of anticipation among followers of the series.

To further enhance the excitement surrounding the upcoming season, it was revealed that Aimer will be performing the new opening song titled “SPARK-AGAIN,” while Cider Girl will contribute the ending theme song. These talented artists are sure to bring their unique musical styles to enhance the overall atmosphere of the anime.

In terms of the creative team behind the second season, there have been a few changes. Tatsuma Minamikawa, known for his directorial work on episode 12 of the first season, will take the helm as the director for the second season, replacing Yuki Yase. Minamikawa will also be supervising the scripts to ensure a cohesive and engaging narrative. Additionally, Yumenosuke Tokuda will join the returning staff members Hideyuki Morioka and Yoshio Kosakai as the chief animation director, with Morioka also reprising his role as the character designer. Neito Hirohara will be a main animator, and Kazunori Miyazato will join the team as the art director, succeeding Daisuke Kusaka. Moreover, Shin’ya Takano will take over as the CGI director from Daisuke Kusaka.

Despite these changes, the majority of the staff from the previous season will be returning for the second season, ensuring a seamless continuation of the visual style and overall quality of the anime. Kazuhiro Miwa will continue as the chief animator, Naoko Satō as the color designer, Yousuke Motoki as the director of photography, Ryō Ōhashi for VFX, Kiyoshi Hirose as the editor, Jin Aketagawa as the sound director, and Kenichiro Suehiro as the composer.
