Hunter x Hunter creator gives a significant recommendation to fans

Hunter x Hunter is a popular shonen anime and manga series that has been around since 1998. It follows the story of Gon Freecss, a young hunter who sets out on a quest to find his father, who left him when he was a child. Along the way, he meets a variety of interesting characters, including fellow hunters, who help him on his journey. Despite being a beloved series among fans, it has been on hiatus several times due to creator Yoshihiro Togashi’s ongoing health issues. Nevertheless, fans continue to wait eagerly for news on when the series will return, and Togashi himself still communicates with them from time to time.

Recently, Togashi made a recommendation to his fans regarding a horror author named Yumeaki Hirayama. In a post, he praised Hirayama’s latest work, The Story Of What I Did to The Pelicans In The Park, saying that it was like a nightmare that you experience while waking up. Togashi explained that he experienced novels visually and that Hirayama’s writing was particularly effective at helping him visualize the scenes in his mind. He also praised the author’s use of eerie and peculiar characters and unexpected and crazy words.

While Hirayama is known for several works, his most well-known may be the movie Cursed, which was released in Japan in 2004. The movie focuses on supernatural events taking place in a convenience store and how the workers and patrons must deal with them. Togashi’s recommendation of Hirayama’s work was also endorsed by the creators of other popular anime and manga series, such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Tokyo Ghoul.

As for the fate of Hunter x Hunter, there have been no plans announced regarding a return to the small screen following the latest anime adaptation by Studio Madhouse. However, fans remain hopeful that Togashi’s work will eventually be brought back to life, and there is much speculation as to whether the series will continue where Madhouse left off or if it will be rebooted once again. Regardless of what happens, Togashi’s recommendation of Hirayama’s work gives fans something new to check out while they wait for more Hunter x Hunter content.
