The voice actor of Sailor Moon will be part of the new cast for Sailor Moon Cosmos.

The production team behind the highly-anticipated Sailor Moon Cosmos movie has revealed a second trio of voice actors who will be joining the cast. Megumi Hayashibara, Nana Mizuki, and Kotono Mitsuishi, who are all renowned actresses in their own right, have been confirmed to lend their voices to the film.

Hayashibara, who has voiced iconic characters like Rei in Neon Genesis Evangelion and Jessie/Musashi in Pokemon, will be playing Sailor Galaxia. Mizuki, who is known for her roles as Hinata in Naruto and Ann Takamaki in Persona 5, will be portraying Princess Kakyu. Meanwhile, Mitsuishi, who is perhaps best known for her role as Sailor Moon/Usagi Tsukino, will be reprising her role as Chibi-Chibi, whom she also voiced in the original 1990s anime for this particular arc.

These new cast members will be joining Marina Inoue, Saori Hayami, and Ayane Sakura, who were previously announced as the voices of the Sailor Starlights. The Sailor Starlights are a group of idol singers who come to Earth to search for Princess Kakyu.

Sailor Moon Cosmos is a two-part movie that will adapt the Stars arc of the Sailor Moon manga, and it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the beloved franchise. The movie will be released in Japan, with Part 1 scheduled to debut on June 9, 2023, and Part 2 following on June 30, 2023. Along with the announcement of the new cast members, the production team also released artwork of the characters’ designs for the upcoming movie.
