JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure gains popularity due to a funny encounter with a Joestar

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a long-running anime franchise that has captivated audiences worldwide with its unique characters, bizarre plot twists, and creative use of Stands. Each arc of the series focuses on a new Joestar taking the reins of the franchise, but old characters often make a return, adding depth and continuity to the overarching narrative.

One such character is Joseph Joestar, the grandfather of Jotaro Kujo, who appears in several arcs of the series. Joseph is a fan-favorite character known for his humorous personality, his iconic catchphrase “Oh my god!”, and his incredible ability to improvise in battle.

Joseph first appears in Battle Tendency, the arc that sees the Joestar family fighting against vampires. Voiced by Benjamin Diskin, Joseph quickly becomes a fan favorite, thanks in part to his hilarious antics and his unique fighting style, which combines Hamon energy and a series of tricks and traps.

Joseph makes a comeback in Stardust Crusaders, the third arc of the series, where he joins his grandson Jotaro and a group of allies on a journey to Egypt to defeat the evil vampire Dio. Voiced by Richard Epcar, Joseph proves once again to be a valuable asset to the team, using his Stand, Hermit Purple, to uncover clues and solve puzzles.

Joseph also appears in Diamond Is Unbreakable, the fourth arc of the series, where he is an elderly man and a mentor to his grandson Josuke Higashikata. In this arc, Joseph’s role is more subdued, but he still manages to steal the show with his witty one-liners and his heartwarming interactions with his family.

Despite not appearing in the story of Stone Ocean, the sixth arc of the series, the creator of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Hirohiko Araki, has confirmed that Joseph is still alive in the original universe. Moreover, a new version of Joseph was revealed in the final chapters of JoJolion, the eighth arc of the series, where he brandished a new take on his Stand, Hermit Purple.

The recent Joestar encounter sees Richard Epcar, the voice actor for Joseph in Stardust Crusaders and Diamond Is Unbreakable, meet his character in the real world, in a hilarious and heartwarming moment that has gone viral on social media.

The JOJOLands, the ninth arc of the series, introduces new Joestars on the block in Jodio and Dragona, but it also brings back a surprising character from Diamond Is Unbreakable: Kishibe Rohan. In the second chapter of the latest series, Rohan is the target of a diamond heist, and fans are eagerly waiting to see which iteration of the character will ultimately turn out to be.

Overall, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a series that keeps on surprising and delighting its fans with its intricate plot, lovable characters, and creative use of Stands. And with the introduction of new arcs and characters, the adventure is far from over.
